Luciel "Lucie"
Hisakawa Byrdwel
The middle-child of a rich, but title-less merchant, and an immigrant. Despite being the only son, Luciel is set away from his family at a young age under the guise of an apprenticeship, where he met and befriended Robin. He has little to no resemblance to his father, which has led several rumors to circulate that he is illegitimate.
Robin Wilm Belle
de la Valedane
The only child of the aristocratic Valdane family, Robin is sheltered for most of her life, aside from a few brief meetings with outsiders, such as Luciel. After an assassination attempt on her as a child, she is hidden from what few relations she has. When she is reunited with Luciel, she barely remembers him.
